Breaking News: WRNB 107.9 takes over 100.3 The Beat on Sept. 1
WRNB 107.9 FM takes over 100.3 The Beat on Sept. 1, Radio One, the parent company of both station announced this afternoon.
The company hints at an upcoming "exciting" announcement as to what becomes of 107.9 but a spokesman did not immediately return a request for comment about whether The Beat, a longrunning hip-hop station in town would survive at 107.9.
Recently 100.3 The Beat cut morning hosts Star and Buc Wild, and had not installed a new morning team since.
Radio One executives Bruce Demps and Elroy Smith were quoted in a statement that the move will allow WRNB an expanded coverage area.
The station’s weekday on-air line up is:
6:00-10:00AM: The Tom Joyner Morning Show
10:00AM-3:00PM: Moshay Laren
3:00-7:00PM: Lady B
7:00-12:00PM: DC Todd “Whispers in the Dark”
