Release Notes:
General Steele, of Smif N Wessun presents: Welcome To Bucktown,
the first official release on the Bucktown USA Imprint. The album
delivers some of Brooklyn's finest MCs: Boot Camp Clik, Shabaam
Sahdeeq of Polyrhythm Addicts, UG of the Cella Dwellas, Blayzah
Blayzah, Smoothe Da Hustler, and Trigger Tha Gambler. Bucktown was
inspired by the 1975 Blaxploitation film Bucktown. The soundtrack
takes the listener through modern day Bucktown AKA Brooklyn, as
coined by the Rap duo Smif-N-Wessun circa 1994, and explores the
evolution and current conditions through the eyes of Hip Hop
Brooklyn artists.
